Tonya rescued a baby skunk when she didn’t yet have her permit. The skunk "Pepe" was later taken from Tonya, killed, decapitated and brought back to her. The horrible incident inspired Tonya to devote her life to helping and protecting all wildlife in Pepe's honor. She is keeping that promise. Tonya spent the next 3 years studying, building a wildlife rehab facility (with the help of her loyal followers) and earning her state rehabilitator’s permit. She is now working on her federal permit and another facility where she can rehab rabies vector species, because her county doesn't allow it. And she will do it, for Pepe and all other critters that need her help. Getting an incubator will help not only Tonya, but will be such a huge help to the wildlife that she receives. She is the only licensed rehabber in her county (and several surrounding counties), and the only one that is vaccinated for rabies, so she is getting a lot of calls for help.
